F.o.N. (Freak of Nature) was an American pop-punk band from Chula Vista, California, formed in 1997. The group originally formed while its members were still in high school and became known for blending punk, ska, rock, reggae, and funk. The band’s lineup eventually expanded to seven members, including two vocalists.

F.o.N. released their debut album, Hooked on F.o.N.ix, in December 1998 and gained attention through extensive touring, Internet music platforms, radio play, and appearances on the Vans Warped Tour. On July 23, 1999, the band performed on the Emerging Artists Stage at Woodstock ‘99, with drummer Ilan Rubin, then 11 years old, becoming the youngest musician to perform at Woodstock.

In 2001, F.o.N. released Cease and Desist: The EP Formerly Known as FoNOPOLY, following a dispute with Hasbro over the original FoNOPOLY title and artwork. The band subsequently worked on their second full-length album, Adventures in Boredom. Although the album was completed and originally scheduled for release in 2002, label and distribution problems prevented a normal commercial release. Advance copies and individual tracks circulated online.

Vocalist Josh Dodson left the band in November 2002. F.o.N. continued performing into the following years before eventually going on hiatus in mid-2004. The group briefly reunited in 2011 to record two new songs.
