Extra Small is a Los Angeles-based music project run by Ian Cumming (born Jae Han). Its sound has been characterized as “shape-shifting,” “electronic rap with flashes of house, second-gen K-pop, and underground grit.”

Originally formed as a duo of self-producing artists Ian and Levy (born Daniel Choi), they debuted with art pop album Cubicle in 2021.

In 2022, the Extra Small band and electronic artist damon r. formed supergroup DRES. Over the course of two years of close work, the trio released EP no entry and a few singles before disbanding in 2024. Extra Small also had a hand in producing damon r.’s “just obliterate” and “low,” as well as providing their vocals to the collab track “zero dark flirty.”

In December 2025, it was announced that Levy left the band to pursue his solo career. Nevertheless, Ian will continue to put out music under the Extra Small name.
