Executive Slacks was formed in the 1980s by Matt Marello (guitarist and vocalist), John Young (keyboard player), and later joined by Albert Ganss (percussionist). The band with their “DIY” approached electronics and aggressive, danceable sound joined the Philadelphia underground music scene. Following the success of their track “The Bus” in Belgium the band embarked on a European tour. The band continued to play shows after the departure of Ganss and Young and introduction of Bobby Rae and Athan Marloulis but didn’t release any more recordings, and officially disbanded in 1991.
