Europe

Europe is a Swedish rock band formed in 1979 in Upplands Väsby, near Stockholm. Originally called “Force,” they changed their name to Europe in 1982 after winning a national talent competition. The band gained worldwide fame with their 1986 hit “The Final Countdown”, which became one of the most iconic rock anthems of all time.

Europe has remained active for over four decades with their long-standing lineup featuring

The band is also known for hits like “Rock the Night”, “Carrie”, “Superstitious” or “Open Your Heart”. These songs showcase their versatility, ranging from powerful rock anthems to heartfelt ballads.

In 2023, Europe celebrated over 40 years as a band, and they still remain very active both in the studio and on stage. They also completed their “Time Capsule” 40th-anniversary tour, which spanned 21 shows across Europe, including performances in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Norway, Sweden, France, the Netherlands, and the UK. The band is still active and remains committed to their craft, blending nostalgia with new creative ventures, ensuring their legacy continues to resonate with both longtime fans and new audiences.
