The talented grime group Essentials, comprised of Bossman, DaVinChe, Jendor, Remerdee, K Dot Kidman, 2Face Pharaoh and the late N.E, were a prevalent presence on the scene in the 2000s. They helped to lead the representation of South London and gained a noteworthy reputation among their peers.

In 2019 they released the compilation album Legends of South London, which included re-releases of old classics such as “So Much Better”, “Jenny” and “State Your Name”.
