EsDeeKid is an English rapper from Liverpool. Very little is known about the rapper, as he chose to keep his identity a secret, only seen with a balaclava. EsDee’s music is characterized by his thick Scouse accent and draws inspiration from the cloud rap genre, with elements of jerk.

EsDeeKid began releasing music back in 2024, with a slew of singles collaborating with other artists in the UK underground scene, such as fakemink and Rico Ace. His 2024 single “Bally” with Rico Ace was recognized through Pitchfork’s “The Ones” column where they named EsDeeKid one of the year’s breakout star, introducing him to an international audience.

Entering into 2025, EsDeeKid would start to get mainstream attention with songs such as “Phantom,” “LV Sandals,” and “4 Raws” all going viral through social media. On 20 June, 2025, he released his debut studio album Rebel, to which it was a critical and commercial success, debuting at #97 and peaking at #8 on the UK Albums Charts, even going as far as debuting at #131 on the Billboard 200, five months after the album’s release, later peaking at #23.

In November 2025, fans speculated that EsDeeKid’s actual identity was American actor Timothée Chalamet, with fans noting correlations between articles of clothing and physical similarities. These rumors would soon be disproven, as the two would collaborate on the official remix to “4 Raws.” Thanks to this, the song would debut at #95 on the Billboard Hot 100 on the week of 27 December 2025 and would later peak at #36 on 13 January 2026.

Throughout the first half of 2026, EsDeeKid collaborated with American rapper Yeat on the song “Made It On Our Own.” From there, he would keep quiet with releases, up until 25 June, where he released the song “RockWave.” EsDeeKid is now gearing up for the release of his next project sometime this year.
