Eric George Lopez (born September 7, 2002), known professionally as ericdoa, is a rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer residing from Connecticut. ericdoa is also affiliated with the producer and artist collective NeilaWorld.

Eric always had an obsession with music since childhood, as he used to studiously make his way through a stack of his father’s CDs and trying to break down and understand everything that was happening in them. He would also break out instruments and sing at every family gathering. Eric used to be a troublemaker, often getting suspended in school, but ever since Eric started uploading his music to SoundCloud, he kept himself out of trouble ever since.

Initially known as Killeric, Eric released his debut EP Bleed Vol. 1 on November 3, 2018. After the release, he changed his moniker to his current alias, ericdoa. His style has devolved from dark, trap-influenced rap to songs influenced by emo and alternative rock.

ericdoa often makes music in all genres, and can be found writing to what he goes through in life and past relationships, commonly singing and rapping with a fusion of melodic electronic influences and highly processed vocals.

In an interview with Lyrical Lemonade Eric said:

i would say that I see myself as a bozo who makes music with a mic and doesn’t subject himself to a single genre. I feel like I’ve proven that I can really do anything, so I just be making shit.

i am taking everything that has been going on and turning it into exactly what I’ve always wanted to make, what I’ve always wanted to do. I am just trying to release the best music I’ve ever made and could possibly make.

As well as releasing tracks as ericdoa, during 2020 he was also known as dante red, where he’d release songs with a bit-crushed tone to them. One of his most popular songs known-to-date was released under dante red, “movinglikeazombie.” The alias is currently on-pause as Eric was signed to Interscope Records, however since the release of DOA, he is no longer signed to Interscope, but the status of dante red is still unknown.

On July 7, 2019, Eric went on to release his debut six track album DOA, which was around the time his music career began to pick up. Later, on January 7, 2020, he released his highly anticipated album Public Target. Eric would late release a deluxe version of Public Target under the name DOA2, on March 20 of that year.

After the release of Public Target, on November 6, 2020 he released his hyperpop-based album, COA which has it’s own sound that “feels emblematic of the moods and textures that this scene aspires to capture.”

With fellow artist and friend glaive, the duo teamed up and made then i’ll be happy, an EP which was released on October 6, 2021.

On May 20, 2022, ericdoa released his long-awaited sophemore album, things with wings with the album singles being “fool4love,” which was released on February 23, 2022 and “lifeline,” which was released on April 8, 2022.

After had been mostly silent with releases in 2023, on January 19, 2024, ericdoa would go onto release his seventh EP DOA. Then on November 29, 2024, Eric would release his eighth EP, why suffer for us?, after had completing the album through Twitch. It also marked the first project from Eric not to be released under Interscope Records.

Eric would then have a very silent 2025, as he would put out no music around this time. However on October 31, 2025, he would release the single “HelloWorld” under the Dante Red pseudonym, teasing his official comeback. He would also be featured on the song “set fire” with Glasear and Zetra.

Entering into 2026, Eric is now expected to release his third studio album MÚSICA DIVINO sometime around the year.
