Duster is an American rock band that formed in the mid-1990s. The band consists of the multi-instrumentalists Clay Parton, Canaan Dove Amber, and Jason Albertini. They began working together in a home studio space they called Low Earth Orbit, tracking on cheap analog equipment.

During their first incarnation, Duster released two albums, Stratosphere and Contemporary Movement alongside a handful of EP and singles. Though the band had not played live shows or released new music since 2001, they surprised fans in 2018 by announcing via their Instagram page that they were “recording a little bit.”

On March 22nd, 2019, Duster released a a box set titled Capsule Losing Contact compiling their past releases. The box set included the new songs “Faint” or “What You’re Doing to Me”.

Capsule Losing Contact was met with critical acclaim and yielded a welcome return for the band.
