Doechii is a rapper, singer, and songwriter from Tampa, Florida.

The artist first rose to popularity following the viral success on TikTok of her 2020 single “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake,” which led her to sign a record deal with the Los Angeles-based label Top Dawg Entertainment in 2021.

In August 2022, Doechii released her debut project with the label, the EP she / her / black bitch.

In August 2024, Doechii released her mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal, which won the 67th Grammy award for Best Rap Album at the GRAMMY’s 2025. In late 2024 she appeared in the tracks “I’M HIS, HE’S MINE” with Katy Perry, from her album 143, and in “Balloon” with Tyler, The Creator, from his album CHROMAKOPIA.

After the GRAMMY winning, in early 2025 her 2019’s COVEN MUSIC SESSION called “Anxiety” went viral on social medias. On March 4th, Doechii released a re-recorded version of the song which appeared as bonus track on Alligator Bites Never Heal (Extended).
