John Fairbanks, better known as DJ Semtex, is a British DJ and radio presenter from Manchester, United Kingdom. He has been a presenter for BBC Radio 1Xtra from 2002 to 2018. And now recently for Capital XTRA.

In 2016, Semtex released his debut book as an author titled Hip Hop Raised Me, which goes into depth about the hip-hop genre and today’s world of it.

Semtex has done interviews with the likes of Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, Dave, Kid Cudi, Ja Rule, Nas, Pusha T, Joey Bada$$, RZA, Q-Tip and many more.
