Dimension

AKA: Robert Etheridge, Robert Alexander Etheridge

Robert Etheridge, better known as Dimension, is a prominent, London-based British drum and bass DJ and producer. First rising to prominence with releases on Cyantific’s now-folded CYN Music label and Chase & Status’s MTA Records, he is now a fully independent artist and has distributed his music via Warner ADA.

He’s remixed for the likes of Example and Duke Dumont, and his bootleg remix of deadmau5’s “Avaritia” was highly sought-after since its creation in 2014. He further carved a name for himself with 2015’s club-friendly banger “Whip Slap”, and a number of successful non-album singles including “Pull Me Under” and “UK”. At times he has experimented in fusing styles, including applying techno influences to D&B contexts and regularly remixing his own songs.

Etheridge’s 2018 collaboration with Sub Focus, “Desire”, was a sleeper hit in the UK, eventually attaining platinum certification. He has subsequently become a mainstay in the global drum and bass scene and particularly the ‘dancefloor’ style of D&B, having collaborated with other leading lights in the scene and toured extensively. Many of his newer productions have featured syncopated rhythms with an emphasis on the off beat, a popular motif in Oceanian dance music which has earned him a dedicated following in the continent.

His debut album Organ was self-released in 2021 and featured popular acts like Sub Focus, Liam Bailey and Culture Shock, and entered the top 10 of New Zealand’s national albums chart. He has since consistently released more singles.
