AKA: Sade Santiago, Misonn Scott

Misonn Scott (born July 2), known professionally known as diamond*, is an American recording artist from Mechanicsville, Atlanta, Georgia.

diamond* revealed in an interview with BURNING ROACH where he grew up in the Southside of Atlanta and how he came to find his stage name and its meaning:

I met a lot of women on the Southside with the name Diamond, and they just so happened to be some fine bitches. I just goddamn took that name ‘cause I’m the boy version of that, I’m the man version of that.

In this interview, he also explained the meaning behind the movement, PHØNK DØLLA WØRLDWIDE, that he and his childhood friend and now recording partner, Tezzus, push. Keeping it very vague, saying that it is a family, and making it seem like PHØNK and DØLLA were two different things merged into one.

Before the name diamond*, he revealed in an interview with Bars that he used to go by the name Sade Santiago

When asked about how he and Tezzus first met, diamond gave a brief story, stating that he used to follow Tezzus and his group all around the city because to him they were the hardest thing coming out of Atlanta. One day he states he needed weed and no one on his side of the city was available, so he had hit up Tezzus and he told him to drive over to him, to which diamond did. They then played video games and smoked weed before ultimately becoming great friends. He then adds that it’s worth noting that they had made 40K in their first week of meeting each other.

The earliest dated music of diamond* can be dated back to August 2023 with the song “Our daily bread” which is also one of his deepest songs, stating it took him 2 weeks to record the song.

In July, 2025 diamond would release his debut mixtape, NØ IDØLS, which became a minor success, landing him and Tezzus a co-sign from Atlanta’s very own Young Thug. Following this co-sign songs from the tape would continue to grow traction, most notably, “bada bing, bada bØØm”.

diamond has stated that he shows in interest in becoming an architect in the future as well as an actor, both voice and live action. He says a lot of his fashion influence comes from highly acclaimed designer, Hedi Slimane, known most notably for work at Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent. In a livestream in October, 2025 with internet celebrity and fashion designer, Asspizza a conversation came up about their favorite clothing items they have worn. To which diamond states how he had a pair of Dior Strip Denim, a fan-favorite piece by Hedi Slimane.

I wore my Strips for a year straight

This line became a running joke in the fashion community for unknown reasons, but the original clip has seemed to become lost media, so now that line is just quoted randomly on posts in a “If you know, you know” kind of situation.

On August 17, 2025 diamond* would release a 4-song EP, Bling Boi ep, featuring collaborations with Tezzus and Yung Fazo on “BYAAAATCH”. Which also featured production from a very highly acclaimed group of producers, F1LTHY, Akachi and Forza, further proving the connections he is building.

Coming off of a successful debut mixtape and a great EP to hold off fans, diamond* seems to be in a great spot for his career. He has been landing features with Atlanta’s Young Thug as well as other YSL members; he and Tezzus were even taken out by Thug at ComplexCon 2025 to perform their hit song, “bada bing, bada bØØm”.

On April 17, 2026, following his rise to stardom, diamond released his collaborative mixtape with Tezzus, titled UY SCUTI BØYZ. Then, on July 8, 2026, he would release his first solo project of the year, titled BLING SLIME VØL 1, which was hosted by Atlanta radio host DJ Holiday. Following the release of BLING SLIME VØL 1, diamond is gearing up to release his third major project of the year, titled jubilee.
