Diagrams is the musical project of Sam Genders, founder member of Tunng, The Accidental and Throws. Diagrams’ debut album ’Black Light’ (produced by Mark E. Brydon) was released in 2012 and his second album ’Chromatics’ (produced by Leo Abrahams) was released in January 2015, both on Full Time Hobby Records.

Diagrams’ third album, ’Dorothy’, released in May 2017, is a set of songs written with Washington state based poet Dorothy Trogdon. After being given a copy of Dorothy’s book ’Tall Woman Looking’ by a friend, Sam was inspired to contact Dorothy to ask if she would consider collaborating and so began an extended email exchange of poems, lyrics and song sketches that would go on to become the songs for the album.

‘Dorothy’ features contributions from Kelly Pratt (Arcade Fire, St Vincent, David Byrne), Kristofer Harris (Clock Opera, Smoke Fairies) and Mercury-prize winning producer Mike Lindsay (Low Roar, Speech DeBelle) as well as arrangements by Diagrams regulars Astra Forward, Sam Ewens and Danyal Dhondy.
