De'tahjae Delique Markeith Bess professionally known as detahjae is an American rapper, producer, photographer born November 16, 2001 in Oakland, California.

Before his musical fame, he used to be apart of a film group named The 6 Crew where him and his old friends used to make short comedy skits that were posted to YouTube during 2016 to 2018.

Sometime in early 2019 he would join and become a member of the music group Mortal ViP. Where he created many singles with the group. He would later be known for his TikTok videos where he would make multiple skits and would create the “ahooeye” TikTok sound effect.

detahjae used to release all his musical projects on SoundCloud, those being his mixtapes, EP and compilation albums. He realeased his debut album Lone, Borealis on November 15, 2024, and the sophomore FLARE almost a year after, on November 10, 2025.
