Derek Lind is a New Zealand singer‑songwriter and visual artist. Trained at Elam School of Fine Arts, he taught art in Auckland before devoting himself to music and painting.

His double album Solo, written after his wife’s 2013 death, received wide praise. He has toured nationally and internationally and earned recognition, including New Zealand Music Awards and an APRA Silver Scroll nomination.
