AKA: Grant Decouto, Grant Andrew Decouto, Grant A. Decouto

Grant Andrew Decouto (born March 24, 1995), better known by his stage name Deko, is a Grammy nominated record producer and rapper. As a producer, he has established himself as a force in Atlanta and around the south by working with acts such as Migos, Drake, Gucci Mane and more. He is also a member of the EDM group Merge!.

Deko began producing as early has 2013, releasing an instrumental album HD PRODUCTIONS VOL. 1 on June 15, 2013 through the now-defunct music platform DatPiff. He started building a name for himself over the next couple of years by working with artists such as Migos, Skippa Da Flippa. Rich The Kid, Lil Durk, K CAMP, Chris Travis and many more. He also produced for OG Maco, which proved very lucrative for him. Shortly after forming a relationship with Maco, Deko joined OG Maco’s OGG collective where he went by ‘OG Deko’ for a period of time.

2016 would be a turning point for Deko as it marks the year he started creating his own solo music. He released his first song “Listen” on September 18, 2016. He continued to produce for other artists throughout the year, working with KEY!, Lil Yachty, Famous Dex and more.

On January 27, 2017, Deko and OG Parker produced the hit song “Slippery” by the Migos and Gucci Mane, peaking at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100. A year later on January 26, 2018, Deko and OG Parker reunited to produce “Walk It Talk It” by the Migos and Drake, which peaked even higher at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. He continued to release more solo music this year such as “Venus Retrograde,” “All My Ice” and the Carnage assisted “Block You.”

Starting off 2019 with the release of his first album, MoonKid on February 22, 2019. Just a few months later on July 9th, Deko released his next album Iridescent. This release changed the trajectory of Deko’s career forever, with his song “Phantasy Star Online” blowing up online. Going forward, Deko focused less on producing for other artists and more on his own career. He also, in collaboration with Osean World, debuted his vocaloid artist Yameii Online that year.

Deko continued to explode in popularity throughout 2020. He released singles all throughout 2020, most of which encompassed his mixtapes Moonkid Mondays, Vol. 1 and Moonkid Monday, Vol. 2.
He released his next proper album on April 14th with Crystalline which saw great success among his fanbase.

He continued to release singles as both Deko and Yameii all throughout 2021. On November 23, 2021, he released his next album, Nu Radio!. He also made a brief return producing for other artists this year on the track “WORLD $TAR” by Jasiah. 2022 was a bit slower for Deko, only releasing one project towards the end of the year with DekoSoCold, a collaborative EP with producer spyrosocold. He filled up the lack of Deko releases with more Yameii music.

Starting off 2023 with the release of a new Yameii album and its deluxe, Deko began to release singles again beginning with “breathe ~_~” on July 14, 2023. He released 3 more singles leading up to September 14, 2023, when he released his next full-length album, nu genesis.

On March 1, 2024, Deko released Oddyssey1, a collaborative album with Yameii Online. This was Deko’s only release for the year, besides a guest verse on the STARKIDS“Stay Back.” Following this album and Deko’s marriage, he went on a year long hiatus.

A little over a year following Oddyssey1, Deko returned with the release of his next mixtape eclipse on March 24, 2025.
