Dødheimsgard is a Norwegian extreme metal band from Oslo formed in 1994 by Vicotnik, Fenriz and Aldrahn, of which Vicotnik has remained the sole constant member through the band’s history, with more than 28 musicians joining and leaving the band since its formation.

The band started as a straightforward black metal outfit before starting to move into an avant-garde metal direction with 1998’s Satanic Art, going through an industrial black metal phase with 1999’s 666 International and 2007’s Supervillain Outcast before moving to a more progressive metal style with 2015’s A Umbra Omega, still never leaving their avant-garde tendencies through all these stylistic changes.
