London born and Essex raised, davecreates is a once aspiring footballer/athlete turned creative with eclectic taste, consistent work rate and versatile expression. Through his art he delivers rhythmic rhyme, witty wordplay and profound perspective over the backdrop of soulful soundscapes. He expresses hope and excellence, while challenging listeners to be the best version of themselves.

From rapping at his church youth group to performing spoken word poems at university open mics, DC honed his penmanship and stage presence while releasing songs on SoundCloud, all before finally sharing his debut single ‘Breaking News’ with the world in early 2018.

Supported by the likes of leading US hip-hop platform Rapzilla and UK radio such as BBC WM and Premier Gospel, davecreates continued to grow and ended the year having featured on top Spotify playlists such as ‘Blessings’ which has over 100,000 followers.

The following year he released his debut EP ‘one day i will fly’ – a soulful hip-hop project which drew on sonic inspirations of downtempo feels, lofi instrumentation and smooth poetic delivery. Not only did the project display DC’s dynamic use of soundscapes and lyrical flair, it birthed the brand ‘b3’, a clothing line and platform which seeks to inspire a generation of dreamers and creatives on the quest for true expression and freedom. 

The year 2020 was an important milestone for the emerging rapper, joining forces with the wealth of talent in his creative community. He worked across a number of collaborations and released 3 singles, all in the lead up to his sophomore EP ‘ASCENSION’ which showcases the inspiration DC has grown to love from trap based sounds. 

davecreates continues to remain a presence on the stage, opening for US based hip-hop artist S.O. alongside the likes of UK heavyweight Triple O – all while receiving further radio support from BBC Essex Introducing, No Signal, Rinse FM and Reprezent Radio.
