After Znöwhite broke up, Greg Fulton, John Slaterry, and Scott Schafer formed Cyclone Temple. (Vocalist Debbie Gunn went to Sentinel Beast.)

Sony Music bought out Relativity Records in the early ‘90s and shortly thereafter shut down the Combat label, dropping all of the acts still on the brand, including Cyclone Temple.

Troch left in 1992 and was replaced by the more aggressive-sounding Marco Salinas, meanwhile the band managed to sign a deal with Polydisc / Progressive International, which led to the Medical Records Studio recording and release of the six-song 1993 EP Building Errors in the Machine.

Monsterdisc picked them up in late-1993 and they recorded the 1994 full-length album My Friend Lonely at Jay’s Garage Studio in Chicago. This album featured three new tracks and re-recorded versions of five of the six songs from the Building Errors… EP with yet another new vocalist, the significantly more soulful-sounding Sonny DeLuca.

The new songs showed growth in their style, for they incorporated more experimental styles including reggae and hip-hop.
