Cryptosis is a Dutch progressive thrash metal band from the Netherlands. The band was originally released music as Distillator, but changed their name to Cryptosis in 2020. Vocalist and guitarist Laurens Houvast explained in an Instagram post that the name “Cryptosis” means the hypnosis of technology (“crypto” + “osis”). Their debut album as Cryptosis, Bionic Swarm, was released in 2021.
