Covidman an underground artist from West Philadelphia born in 2006 began getting into music at an early age. During the global pandemic he often free styled to free type beats on YouTube and got his name from saying he’s the Covid Man due to Covid being a major topic at the time and not knowing what to say while free styling. From then he began going by the name of Covidman and finally decided to start recording his freestyles on voice memo’s from his phone. He dropped his first project early 2022 and that project went triple cardboard in his high school and on SoundCloud (Before permanently deleting it years later). In 2023, Covidman wanted better quality music and decided to buy a laptop and a mic. Since then he has dropped many projects with many cool and creative concepts and has been very consistent with releasing up to 2-3 projects a year.

Covidman is known for being loud, disrespectful, and saying whatever he want on his songs. Which is why he stay in some type of controversy because he always talking about some crazy shit which gets tied to his name, and even though he should, he don’t really try to clear it up. Instead he leans into it since he say stuff that make people uncomfortable on purpose, just to get a reaction and push buttons kind of like old Tyler, The Creator but not quite. He just simply don’t care how you receive his music. However, his music is not meant to be taken seriously whatsoever. He makes songs to be funny and play around and majority of song. He is and has always claimed to be a cap rapper none of his music is real. His style is different from many, some would even say unorthodox. He uses plenty of dark humor in his music while also bringing in real aspect of life. His specialty is using Flint type beats an abundance of his tracks uses them but he do branch off and use different type of beats as well.

There is not much we know about Covidman’s personal life since he keeps a lot of it private by being mysterious. But in a lot of songs he do reflect and exaggerate his upbringing and has been doing it more in most recent projects. We even learned his real name is Joey. Not sure on the last name but its good to put a name behind this persona of Covidman. There isn’t any pictures of Covidman however so we do not know what he look like but we do know he is African-American and stands 5 foot 10 inches.
