CLASSy (클라씨) is a South Korean girl group formed through the MBC survival show My Teenage Girl. The group consists of 7 members: Jimin, Seonyou, Hyungseo, Hyeju, Riwon, Boeun, and Chaewon.

CLASSy formed through the reality show My Teenage Girl. Each member of the group was revealed on February 28, 2022, on the final episode. Three senior contestants won. (Hyungseo, Chaewon, Hyeju) Then the rest were sophomore contestants. (Riwon, Seonyou, Boeun, and Jimin)

The meaning behind the group’s name is meant to tell about the girl’s “classy” visuals and how they’re destined to be a higher grade in class. This name was also chosen by the show’s audience on Naver and approved by CLASSy’s agency later.

The group debuted with their first successful mini-album, CLASS IS OVER, on May 5, 2022. Surprisingly, fans were shocked to soon see another mini-album pass by, titled LIVES ACROSS, come out on May 26 of the same year.

CLASSy later released their first single album, Day & Night, which surpassed all of their previous releases in commercial success.

Only a month after their debut on June 22, 2022, CLASSy made their first Japanese release with the single album SHUT DOWN -JP Ver.-. The single-album consisted of two tracks that are Japanese versions of their previous Korean releases. A whole year later, on February 22, 2023, the group made their first official Japanese debut with “TARGET.”
