In October 2022, a 16-year-old Clara Lars debuted with her EP, “Illusions.” The project served as a compelling introduction to the artist, who co-produced much of the record alongside Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beach House, TV on the Radio). She soon followed up the EP with the Coady-assisted single, “Nobody’s Tired.”

“Better” was a May 2025 track co-produced by Kieron Menzies (Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, FKA Twigs). “Better” marked a distinct sonic shift, maintaining her captivating alt-pop foundation while leaning heavily into electronic synth elements.

Her October 2025 release, “This Time,” delves into the shifting power dynamics of a complicated relationship. Produced by Lars and Grammy-winner Tim Sonnefeld (Usher, Elvis Costello), the track seamlessly blends lush, dreamy vocals with her evolving electronic alt-pop sound. She kicked off 2026 with “What I Wanted” and “Habits,” two singles that further solidified this electronic-driven catalog.

Born in Brooklyn and raised there until age 10, Clara recently returned to her native New York City to pursue a BFA in Recorded Music. With a rapidly expanding discography, her newest releases are a clear indication that Clara Lars is just getting started.
