Charlie Curtis-Beard is a Chicago based rapper. Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Charlie moved to Chicago to pursue his music career while studying at Columbia College Chicago. The self produced musician has garnered the attention of the Chicago Reader and Bandcamp with his first LP, “Childish” dubbing him “Best Overlooked Hip-Hop Artist” and “Best New Soul” respectively. Since then, Charlie has continued to perfect his youthful style that fuses hip-hop, neo-soul and funk music, deriving in this LP “existentialism On Lake Shore Drive” (XOLSD). Following the release of XOLSD Charlie went on to release a stream of four singles, including “Out My Mind” that ultimately landed him features on Lyrical Lemonade and various Spotify playlists.
