Samar Jackson, professionally known as Cayo or Cayo Banks, is an American rapper from Virginia Beach, easily distinguished by his unique voice and singing abilities, which, when combined with his melodies, create a fresh sound.

He started to gain virality in early 2022 with his song “Late” and its remix with Trippie Redd. He then took the same style on “Close” with soser, that went viral on TikTok in early 2024 along with a new dance challenge.

In 2024, he also dropped three albums: Akamaru, along with its deluxe version, and Ain’t Takin My Time in September, followed by July 2025’s project Radioactive, featuring an electronic trap sound.

In 2026, he released the Vain EP in January and the two-song single 2 Peice in March, followed by album I Wish I Met You Sooner on April 30.
