Burghtown Music Group, commonly referred to as Burghtown, is a hip-hop collective and independent record label based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2001, the group is known for its lyrical versatility, regional storytelling, and contributions to Pittsburgh’s underground rap scene.

Burghtown’s founding members include Randy Martin (Gifted aka Gift Money), Lavar Bradley (Prototype), and Raymont Geeter (Swiper), with additional collaborators such as Stevie B, B-Loc (12 Jewelz), J-Man, Buck 50, DJ, and vocalists Vannie & Amber (V&A). Their music often explores themes of urban life, resilience, and community identity, delivered with a blend of introspective bars and street commentary.

The group released multiple full-length projects in the 2000s and 2010s, including We Here Now Vol. 1, The Missing Piece to the Puzzle, Foodstamp Gourmet, Black on Black Crime (B.O.B.C.), Dangerous Summer, and Ceiling Fan Music. Their track “Love the Way” was featured on local radio station WAMO 106 during regional artist blocks.

Burghtown has performed at several notable Pittsburgh venues, including the Shadow Lounge, Rex Theatre, Kelly Strayhorn Theater, and halftime shows for the Pittsburgh Passion women’s football team. The collective has been recognized by the Pittsburgh Hip-Hop Awards, receiving nominations in multiple categories across 2008 and 2009.
