Born in Orland, Florida and adopted by Vienna, Austria, Bryan Benner is a modern day troubadour: A classically trained singer and guitarist who writes and performs his own brand of new art songs which chronicle his time as an American in Vienna and his development as a citizen of the world.

Even before he went on to study at numerous prestigious European conservatories such as The Royal Scottish Conservatoire, the Conservatorio Rossini in Pesaro and the Musik- und Kunstuniversität Wien, Bryan was composing and performing his own songs, a talent and inspiration he discovered after participating in a musical tea ceremony in the Costa Rican jungle at the age of 15.

As a result of his life in Europe, his intensive study of Schubert lieder in particular and of art song in general, Bryan’s compositions have developed into finely spun, lyrical settings of deeply personal poetry.

In addition to his solo career, Bryan is also a founding member of the Vienna based ensembles “The Erlkings” and “Die Wandervögel”.
