Breadwinner was a math rock band based in Richmond, Virginia and comprised of Pen Rollings on guitar, Robert Donne on bass and Chris Farmer on drums.

The band was active from 1990 to 1992 and during their lifespan released two singles (232 S. Laurel St in 1990 and Side A in 1994).

After the band’s disbandment, the compilation “Burner” was released in 1994 by Merge Records, compiling both singles along with three outtakes from Side A.
