Boxes is the solo project of English musician Carey Willetts, bassist of the indie rock band Athlete. Willetts has compared his electronica-tinged indie pop to The Postal Service, Bright Eyes, and The Killers, calling it “a delicate balance” of the three. His first EP was released in September 2011 and the first and only full Boxes album Stickers was released in June 2012, both through Bow Music. Willetts also produced a blended malt whisky with British alcohol retailer Master of Malt called “Boxes Blend” in mid-late 2012. The project has been inactive since 2013.
