Boom Kitty

AKA: Erik Landskov

Boom Kitty (born 1992) is an electronic music producer. He mainly creates EDM and dubstep instrumentals incorporates synths and heavy bass effects.

At age 12, he started getting into music when his brother introduced him to the ACID Music Studio software. In the next few years, he spent time toying with it, taking drumming lessons, and learning another music software program, FL Studio.

In 2012, he started producing EDM music with a classmate in his first college. He discovered the dubstep project Far Too Loud and the r/edmproduction subreddit, which inspired his bass style, and came up with the “Boom Kitty” alias with his brother. The following year, he released “Shatter,” “The Floor,” and “Jam Rat” on both his YouTube channel and Newgrounds account under this alias.

On June 2020, Boom Kitty announced that he was going to apply to a second college to study video game music for four years. He has since shifted his focus on school studies as well as producing songs for the games Beat Saber, Geometry Dash, and Geometry Dash SubZero. After 2020, he switched to using REAPER as his main music software.
