Billy More
Billy More was the stage name of Italian performer Massimo Brancaccio (Milan, 1965-2005). He rose to fame in early 2000’s; his first hit Up&Down became a great success on worldwide dance scene.
Billy More was actually a fictitious character, a transgressive drag queen whose songs talked about sexual liberation and free love; Brancaccio was actually lipsynching, since Billy’s peculiar voice belonged to Canadian singer John Biancale.
Between 2000 and 2005 Billy More released about ten singles in English; there were plans for the release of a full lenght album, which was expected to include a few songs in Italian; but in 2005 Brancaccio suddenly died of fulminant leukemia. His untimely death ended the whole Billy More project.
