Formed in 2016 and originating from Auckland, New Zealand, Balu Brigada is the culmination of two brothers: Henry & Pierre Beasley.

The two brothers seamlessly blend the high energy of alt-rock, hip hop beats, and pop hooks resulting in an harmonious blend of their favorite genres. They signed with Warner Music Australia & Atlantic Records in September 2022, acting as the precursor for their relocation to New York City. Accompanying the announcement of their new label, the duo released their debut EP I Should Be Home with their sophomore EP Find a Way releasing a year later.

Balu Brigada’s debut album Portal released on August 29, 2025, written and produced entirely by the two brothers. The album’s lead single and breakout hit “So Cold” reached number one on the Billboard Alternative Airplay Chart. Ultimately, the track soared in popularity after being featured on the soundtrack of the EA Sports FC 25 video game and with the duo serving as the opener for twenty one pilots' Clancy World Tour.
