BAKGROUND, born Cory Bergmann (also know as ARTIST:UNKNOWN & Koriand'r) is a house, jungle, breakbeat and ambient producer. He has been releasing music as early as 2016, that can be found mainly on Bandcamp. He has a habit of releasing many untitled songs in bulk.

BAKGROUND’s visual aesthetic ranges from the 90’s rave scene, where jungle and breakbeat were at the height of their popularity and the visuals present in the Playstation 2 menus.

Among his notable projects are the ambient albums Saved Data, Unsaved Data Lost and Memory Card. His popular House and Jungle projects are Clubjammerz, BUMPS ‘N’ BREAKS and the UNTITLED CASSETTE series.

The project BAKGROUND was on an indefinite hiatus after the release of BUMPS ‘N’ BREAKS in 2020, but he returned to the project in 2023.
