Azawi is a multi-talented singer-songwriter,recording artist and performer. She wasinspired to do music and dance years agoafter frequently visiting the Ndere CulturalCentre to watch the dance festivals. Shelater joined Kika Dance Troupe in 2005.After leaving the Kika Dance Troupe, Azawistarted singing in school with the help of afriend, and brother, who mentored her as asinger/songwriter. That is when Azawistarted writing for a few artists locally, inUganda. Azawi has written songs for LydiaJazmine, Vinka, Nina Roz, Eddy Kenzo, etc.

During her journey as a songwriter, Azawiwas discovered by Swangz Avenue and thishas put her on a path to stardom. Azawireleased her debut project; a five-track EPtitled “LO FIT,” in February (28th). Thisproject has produced hit songs such as“Quinamino”, “Repeat It” and the title track“Lo Fit”.

For 2021, Azawi is currently gettingready to release her debut album, the firstsingle off this project is titled “My year”.
