Austra is a Canadian electronic music project from Toronto, Ontario, founded in 2009. Katie Stelmanis is the driving force behind the project. Over the years, other musicians have taken part in the project, including her former Galaxy bandmate Maya Postepski, former Spiral Beach bassist Dorian Wolf, Ryan Wonsiak, Romy Lightman, Sari Lightman and Carmen Elle.
