ATARASHII GAKKO! (新しい学校のリーダーズ), which translates to ‘New School Leaders,’ is a Japanese dance and vocal performance group under 88Rising . The group consists of four members: MIZYU, RIN, SUZUKA, and KANON.

Formed in 2015, ATARASHII GAKKO! officially debuted in Japan on June 7, 2017, with their first single, “毒花 (Dokubana)” under Victor Entertainment. A few years later, in January 2021, they made their international debut under 88rising with the single “NAINAINAI” which was first performed at their label’s DOUBLE HAPPINESS: Winter Wonder Festival, live-streamed on December 3, 2019.

In March 2018, the group released their first album, マエナラワナイ (Maenarawanai). A year later, in March 2019, they released their second album, 若気ガイタル (Wakage ga Itaru).

On May 1, 2020, ATARASHII GAKKO! released their digital single “オトナブルー (OTONABLUE).” The song gained popularity on TikTok in 2023 and reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Japan Heatseekers Songs chart.

ATARASHII GAKKO! teamed up with Indonesian rapper Warren Hue for the single “Freaks,” released on March 2, 2021. Later that year, the group released their first EP, SNACKTIME, which features five tracks produced by American producer Money Mark.

In 2023, the group released two EPs: 一時帰国 (Ichiji Kikoku) on April 12 and マ人間 (Maningen) on August 16.

In 2024, ATARASHII GAKKO! performed at the Coachella music festival at the Empire Polo Club in California on April 14. Shortly after, they embarked on their first world tour, ATARASHII GAKKO! World Tour Part I, which took place in 13 cities across Asia and Europe in June, alongside the release of their third album, AG! CALLING. This was followed by ATARASHII GAKKO! World Tour Part II, held in 11 cities across North America from September to October.
