asteria (b. May 27th, 2006) is a singer and producer from New Zealand. His music creates alternative hip-hop, EDM, and internet-based sounds.

In 2023, asteria discovered kets4eki through the song “every single day” and bought a feature from him. They released their first collaboration, “MOLLY”, on January 25th. They followed it up with two more tracks in March, “i fucked her friend” and “TRYNA FUCK (SPARTA)”. After working together a lot, they dropped an album called “RAVE2DEATH“ with eight songs.

Later that year, in July, asteria became a member of the collective FabFantasy, with artists like 6arelyhuman, syris, BAEBY ALEX, and more. Around the same time, he started his own label, Anarchist Sanctuary. Though asteria grew as an artist, he left FabFantasy to focus more on his own career and label.

Recently, asteria has been getting a lot of attention. His track “WHAT YOU WANT”, which was released on November 30th, blew up, reaching over 60 million streams on Spotify. It went viral on social media and features Hatsune Miku, who’s already popular in the scene, but this collaboration felt unique and different.

In 2024, he shared some snippets on TikTok of another song, “EYES ON ME”, which quickly gained attention and helped him get even more known. On March 4th, he released it, and it’s been doing well. This track is different because he didn’t pitch his voice like usual—he used his regular tone. On February 28th, after many teasers, 6arelyhuman dropped “Faster n Harder”, which asteria produced. It went viral on TikTok and Spotify, hitting over 90 million streams and making it onto the Billboard charts.
