ASONITE is the stage name of Etinosa Michael Omoigui, a hip-hop and rap artist and producer originally from Queens, New York, raised in Atlanta, Georgia and partly in Nigeria. He is known for blending genres and incorporating cyberpunk aesthetics into his work, ASONITE’s influences are from all over the globe from multiple cultures but his most strongest influences are from the early underground rap scene, pop, rnb, Nigerian heritage music style’s he grew up on and synth wave styles. With his father being murdered during a bank robbery at 2 years old, ASONITE’s reality came quick having a single mother of 4, depressed and struggling to make ends meet, she would play reggae, old school rnb, pop, soul, blues, gospel, afro beats and rap which helped ignite his love for music.
