ARYENDRA’s songs make you feel like you’re reading his diary. Intimate, personal, and detailed is how you’d describe each project. This approach has cemented the Bengal-born singer, songwriter, and producer as a quietly impactful sound in his town.
Growing up in the heart of Siliguri, Aryendra Khan started learning the Guitar at the age of 8. It led him and his classmates to form a short-lived school band named Eclipse, consisting of Avilash Ghosh, Rudrava Mukherjee, Aryanil Dey, Shlok Das, and him. They performed their favorite songs by One Direction, Linkin Park, AR Rahman, and other artists who raised them.
After completing high school, he began recording acoustic covers on BandLab and uploading them on his social media handles and YouTube. He went to study Media Science, where he met Aashis Gurung. He started writing, producing, and recording his original songs on FL Studio after running a few experiments on production, song structure, and all the necessary stuff to make a song from start to finish.
The EP Pink Balcony was made by him producing the instrumentals on the DAW and laying vocals over them on BandLab. It was a couple of poorly mixed and mastered sketchy songs that talked about existentialism and how it made him see reality differently.
He made his debut album, In My Words, while being indoors during the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic. In My Words was recorded using a Behringer C-3 condenser microphone which wasn’t too comfortable for him as he wasn’t used to recording directly on a DAW. He got in touch with a few local artists by then and had an active audience listening to whatever he had to offer. The album was released on Christmas 2020
He returned a year later with an eight-track album titled EQUINOX that delved deep into love, addiction, and experiences from his bag of memories. The genre-fluid album proved his abilities as a producer and songwriter by serving a fresh wave of songs like SUBLIME, NEST, and 5 PM on the listener’s table. The album didn’t have a lot of visual content that would’ve accompanied the music.
His latest album explores the folds of Hip Hop and Rap. Method To My Madness was released with several positive responses regarding the overall vibe of the album. We hope he never makes music again.
