Ari Jasper’s debut full-length album ‘Petrichor’ is a culmination of years of devotion to his craft in the WA underground music scene. Spending much of his childhood in the Southwest of WA, Ari takes heavy influence from the natural beauty of the Australian outback. His songs also reflect a complex relationship between his emotions and his experiences, writing many a catchy love-song too. From vulnerable acoustic love songs to upbeat acoustic-pop, Jasper’s album aims to express his musical breadth whilst still being grounded in music that would be fit for any radio station. Tracks like the lead single ‘Petrichor’ as well as ‘The Bush’ he believe would be particularly fit for local WA radio. Additionally, tracks like ‘Satellites’ and ‘Heated Floors’ stretch deeper into experimental territory- proving that there is a song on the album for absolutely anyone.
