Alberto d'Ascola (Marsala, Sicily, July 4, 1977), also known as Alborosie, is an Italian-Jamaican reggae singer, songwriter, and producer. He started to get interested in reggae and the Rastafari movement during his teen years. He participated in a reggae band called Reggae National Tickets, where he used the stage name Stena, but his first studio album released with the artist name Alborosie was Soul Pirate, on October 7, 2008.
