AJ McQueen, is an American Motivational Speaker, Poet, Youth Activist, Author, Musician and Mentor currently residing in Houston, Texas. Originally born in St. Louis he later moved to Houston Texas to better his life and find greater opportunities after relinquishing ties to gang-activity where his weighty and un-timely involvement almost claimed his life. Now he is giving back by offering the world a chance at hope and real alternatives by way of sparking a challenge to action.

The greatest thing about AJ is that he is heavily involved in many things that impact others. When he speaks, you can feel his passion. I love what he is doing in the community. AJ is constantly putting others before himself and that’s showing the world the love of Christ.

AJ McQueen began his journey by joining a Christian rap group out of Houston Texas that goes by the name Still Trill Christians. The group was the first Christian rappers to perform live on BET’s national television platform 106 & Park. AJ was invited back personally to speak on 106 & Park advocating against teen violence in America. He and his group was also the first christian rap artist to be featured on many mainstream platforms including mtv jams, allhiphop.com, hiphopdx, the source and sister 2 sister magazine. He also participates in conferences, does appearances and music performances around the world entertaining and lecturing on reform and education. McQueen was recognized by President Obama for his youth support and positive music. AJ signed a label deal with Above Ground Entertainment which helped launch his solo career and movement, Writers Block Inc. He also partnered with the entertainment company to launch “The Writer’s Block Showcase” in Houston TX. with performances from Derek Minor, Jackie Hill to Christon Gray.

McQueen’s also wrote a book, Art of Life, signifies his on-going efforts of inspiration and engagement as that of a painter that has been given a canvas to compose a masterpiece and with beneficiaries awaiting the view of McQueen’s atmospheres of teaching and his oasis of truth.
