Jay Pittman (born March 17, 2007), mainly known as aeter, is an independent undergound artist from Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

aeter primarily uploads his music on the music platform SoundCloud, where his songs vary from Plugg to Indie and Alternative/Emo Rock. He is also known to use Bandlab, a free online DAW, to make most of his music.

aeter’s first track to blow up was titled “friends”, released October 10, 2023. This became the most popular song on aeter’s SoundCloud page as well as his most streamed on Spotify until he dropped “boyfriend” on February 5, 2024.

Other notable songs aeter released throughout 2023 include “high”, and “why cant i see u”, “why cant i see u” being the third and final track on aeter’s first ever released tape titled “2007”. Both tracks are Rock/Indie Rock songs.

Later throughout 2024, as aeter was gaining even more traction, he dropped his 5 song tape titled “loser”, showcasing his versatility.
