Aegaeon

Aegaeon (pronounced ee-JEE-uhn, (/iːˈdʒiːən/)) is an American deathcore band from Evansville, Indiana, and takes its name from one of Saturn’s moons. Aegaeon formed in December 2008 by Jerry Grannan, Nick Scott, Sebastian Brown, Jim Martin, and Craig Nelson. The group currently consists of vocalist Jim Martin, guitarist Sebastian Brown, bassist Nick Scott and drummer Matthew Paulazzo.

The band has released two EPs and two full-lengths to date, all of which have been self-released: their debut EP, Exponential Transcendence, was released in June, 2009, and was followed by their debut full-length Dissension in August, 2011. Their second EP, Being, was released in July, 2012, and their second full-length Age in June, 2018. They’ve also released two stand-alone singles: “Neural Union” in 2013, and “The Integral Path” in 2015, both of which featured ex-vocalist Julian Kersey, who left the band in December, 2017.

After 5 years apart from the band, Jim Martin returned in 2018 as the vocalist on Age—the first full release since he initially left in 2012.
