Braeden Dean Dragon, better known by his stage name 8rae (pronounced “brae”), is a Filipino-American singer-songwriter from Orange County, California.

Blog Vinyl Me, Please describes his early years as being significantly shaped by his Filipino heritage and says that the singer song-writer was “raised in a nurturing family that prioritized creativity and self-expression, he was exposed to a diverse array of musical styles from a young age.. Also, states that “his upbringing, enriched by cultural celebrations and family gatherings filled with music, established a strong foundation for his passion”.

In 2022, 8rae was featured on PARADISE RISING’s (owned by 88rising) third EP, semilucent 3, spotlighting emerging Filipino talent and celebrating Filipino American History Month.

After months being featured of their EP, 8rae dropped his debut EP, WHO TF IS 8RAE?, under Genius Distro. The EP was supported by singles like “F Valentine’s Day”, “WHO TF?”, and “Lost Cause”.
