formed on April 19th, 2023 by Brigiel, Juriko, Dandi, and Deden, 406 originally classified themselves as a Hardcore Punk unit, hailing from Tondano and Tomohon, they are named after clause 406 chapter 1 of the Indonesian Criminal Code.

shortly after, the band rebranded itself with a new formation consisting of Reldy on vocals, Brigs on rhythm guitars, Greg on lead guitars, Deden on bass guitars, and Dandi on drums, the band’s new sound took influence from acts such as Knocked Loose, END, thrown, stoort neer, Inclination, Jesus Piece, Incendiary, and Strangers

the five-piece defines itself as Metallic Hardcore with a hint of modern Metalcore

on April 5th, 2024, the band dropped their debut single “The Darkness and Its Different Shades” and “Desolate Phantom” on April 25th, 2025 off of their upcoming debut album titled “The Frailty of the Contorted Human Mind”
