2slimey
AKA: GGS, Sergio Garcia (2slimey), King Shrimp
Sergio Garcia (born January 24, 2006), known professionally as 2slimey, is a recording artist from Oklahoma City. 2slimey is known for his unique style of avant-rap cadences, with heavily distorted instrumentals and unique mixing.
Through an interview with ShotbyJandJ, 2slimey explained how he got his stage name, stating:
I used to have a big friend group and shit, I just gotta get slimey, you feel me, and cut niggas off. Too many fake niggas
Growing up in Oklahoma City, 2slimey lived a fairly normal life, choosing to stay away from gang activities going on in the city. He originally wanted to be a Basketball player, but chose to quit due to him seeing other players being taller and more professional than him.
Inspired by A$AP Rocky, 2slimey started rapping back in 2016 under the name GGS, finding his sound, originally going for the Pro Era boom-bap direction, but took a break from music in 2019 to 2020 and has since regretted taking a break from music. He would then return to releasing music in 2021 after he had seen Yeat gain attention through the industry, going as far as to putting his own money into his own music. From 2021 to 2023, 2slimey would see very little to no success in his earlier releases. 2slimey first gained attention in early 2024 from his song “shrimp” going viral all across social media where people viewed it as a joke song, however 2slimey took advantage of the sound and would continue to release a slew of singles, collaborating with other underground acts such as BabySolid and wildkarduno.
On November 29, 2024, 2slimey released his debut mixtape SsoMe. Songs such as “SaddestStory” and “Serena” would both see similar success to “shrimp,” as all of these songs share similarities from their distorted instrumentals and unique mixing, although the mixtape would see some variety of style changes, with feature and producer placements from ok, thr6x, mike brokeasf and Yhapojj.
Entering into 2025, 2slimey would continue to release more singles, with some gaining notoriety such as “Vet,” “Reef,” “live in bass,” and “Meat.” This would lead up to the attention of PlaqueBoyMax, who reacted to 2slimey’s songs but spoke negatively about the music, only further sparking the attention flame to his music, however the two would later agree to do a In The Booth session after positive fan reception, to which it happened, resulting in the making of the song “Belly,” released on December 19, 2025.
On November 14, 2025, 2slimey released his debut studio album High Anxiety. It featured guest verses from BabyTron and Izaya Tiji. The album would gain notoriety from fans, critics, and other underground acts such as Jace!, where he was left speechless while reacting to his music, as well as Anthony Fantano, where he spoke positively about High Anxiety. Other streamers such as BruceDropEmOff, Jynxzi, and the FaZe Clan would also garner the attention to 2slimey’s music, although mostly negative reaction, would only fuel the flame to Slimey’s success.
On February 6, 2026, 2slimey would release More Anxiety, the deluxe version to High Anxiety. It was confirmed through its release that he had signed to LISTEN TO THE KIDS. Thanks to his reputation throughout the years, 2slimey earned himself a spot at Undeground Sound’s 2026 cypher, in which his verse overtook “shrimp” as his most popular song of all time, going viral through social media. 2slimey would also earn the co-sign from Lil Uzi Vert in an interview with DAZED.
From there, 2slimey would continue his streak of infamy with more singles being released, one of which being “times changin,” after the song received negative feedback from the judges in PlaqueBoyMax’s Song Wars: Rising Star Edition, notably from producer Southside, DJ Akademiks, and many more. After a slew of released singles, on June 26, 2026, 2slimey released his EP Totalbass.
