Hollis Frazier-Herndon (born January 5, 2004), professionally known as 2hollis, is a singer, rapper and producer from Chicago, Illinois.

2hollis has been surrounded by music his whole life as both his parents have their own careers in the industry. His father is the drummer for rock band Tortoise and releases his own music under the moniker A Grape Dope. His mother founded the PR company Biz3 and co-founded the record label OWSLA with Skrillex, even featuring a young Hollis in some of the label’s promotional videos.

His musical journey dates back to 2016 when he was gifted Ableton for his 12th birthday. He fell in love with the software producing type beats and loud rap songs—see his first vocal performance, “girl scout”—however, growing up on Minecraft and the associated music genres, he eventually grew into the classic EDM-inspired style he is known for.

Hollis' first attempt at releasing music was under the name Drippysoup in 2018. He used this alias through 2019 until the eventual rebrand to 2hollis in 2020. This more personal and recognizable brand marked a new era for the aspiring popstar.

Throughout the early 2020s, he belonged to the group OSX, making “chainmail” music. Singing about wielding swords, dragons and full medieval wars, the collective—as well as it’s successor Tenflower—seemed to be an outlet for 2hollis' desire to tell stories. Many fans have attempted to understand the lore, but with no clarification from any artists involved, it may be a tale lost to time. Though only lasting until 2022, Hollis took much inspiration from the chainmail style they popularized for his third album—the earliest remaining on streaming platforms—White Tiger.

This was when he began to truly find his sound, releasing “PLASTER”, “FORFEIT”, and “GOD” before his May 2023 album—his second after removing his old music from his profiles—which was simply and aptly titled 2.

2hollis has continued to release one album per year, making his mark in all corners of music while still doing everything himself. June 2024’s boy features a range from trap to complextro, and that summer’s “trauma” and “gold,” alongside the popularity surge of his 2023 single “jeans,” feature overblown rage and hardstyle production that landed him a spot on Ken Carson’s Chaos Tour, exposing him to a mainstream audience. Eventually, 2hollis would end up earning himself a record deal with Interscope Records in October 2024.
