Midnight Sun - Intellectual

Summer is the time where most people are most “free” from their duties and responsibilities, thanks to summer being the peak season for holidays, vacations, having an incredibly long break for students, having the best weather for being out and about, ect.
Thus, Zara is essentially saying “the time for partying isn’t over yet.”

People often pick up a handful of pebbles to watch/feel them fall through their fingers and initials written in sand are easily washed away by the tide. This relationship, while fun, will be temporary and they both know it.

The “midnight sun” is a common poetic allusion to the full moon – she’s having a blast and feels as though the night will never end.

Zara Larsson is also Swedish and, being from a country in the Arctic Circle, has experienced a literal midnight sun, which falls during that country’s summer months (May to mid-July).

This verse probably suggests a “secret” love story, or the narrator would just like if the relationship will be just between them two, nothing else.
