Let Me In - Intellectual

One of the largest gangs in America, potentially having up to 50,000 members. While they originate from the south side of Chicago, they are known to have presence in other states as well, including Young Buck’s home state of Tennessee.

A bottle of champagne probably something expenisve like ‘’Cristal‘’, or “Dom Perignon”.

The tension of a something going down is so high that Young Buck can already feel it once he walks in the club.

Also a reference to 50 Cent’s song “In Da Club”

Tony Yayo was arrested alongside fellow G-Unit member 50 Cent (who was signed to Eminem at the time) on December 31, 2002 for gun possession, which resulted in his imprisonment for the entirety of 2003.

To raise awareness about this and show support, Eminem donned a t-shirt that read “FREE YAYO” for his 2003 Grammy performance of “Lose Yourself.”

Tony Yayo recounted seeing it during a 2005 interview with XXL. Below is an excerpt from said article:

The crew held down Yayo in other ways, too. Like at the Grammy Awards, for instance. Someone from Shady Records called and told Yayo to watch the broadcast, promising, “There’s gonna be a surprise.” So, Tony changed the channel in the dayroom, and the whole 60-bed dorm of C73 2 Lower sat there and watched Eminem take the stage in a T-shirt that read, in huge letters, “Free Yayo.” “I went nuts,” says Yayo. “It was the beginning of my career, and [the Rikers administration] didn’t know how big I was on the streets. That’s when people really started watchin’ me in the building.”

The same two-step that 50 Cent mentioned about 2 years prior in his song “Wanksta”:

He’s saying bouncers in clubs will let him in with drugs, weapons and no I.D because they know and respect him.

Juvenile even appears in this song’s music video

Hot Boy$ is the group that was made up of Cash Money Records artists Juvenile, B.G., Lil Wayne and Turk

Young Buck was signed with Cash Money Records in 1996 and then Juvenile’s label UTP Records when Juvenile left Cash Money Records but UTP Records never took off and Young Buck joined G-Unit sometime after meeting 50 Cent. This line can be seen as a shot at Juvenile although he appears in the song’s music video

Young Buck had also mentioned Juvenile in G-Unit’s song “Footprints”

As well as in a freestyle that G-Unit did over the beat of The Diplomats song “Dipset Anthem”

In a different freestyle G-Unit did on DJ Kay Slay’s radio show The Drama Hour, he says U.T.P. instead of Juvenile’s name

U.T.P. them my niggas and ya gotta respect ‘em
But right now it’s all about G-Unit Records

Young Buck had also previously made mentions to Cash Money Records as well as Birdman and Lil Wayne in G-Unit’s songs “Stunt 101”

I know you probably seen me with Cash Money from back in the days
The only thing changed is the numbers on the Range

G-Unit’s song “Betta Ask Somebody”

Some niggas hate me, but they only made me
Go and put mo' ice in my mouth than Baby (bling!)

And G-Unit’s song “Lay You Down”

He had asked about 3 years prior in his song “Ya Heard Me”

Shorty you roll with the winners, right? (Ya heard me?)

This line is a reference to 50’s song “In Da Club.” One needs only to read the song’s title and listen to the first few seconds to understand the reference.

Eric Benet and Halle Berry used to be together and Buck saying with his cash he could take her from him.

The Vice Lords are the second largest and one of the oldest gangs in Chicago, with membership adding up to around 30,000-35,000. They are a founding member of the People Nation and are rivals with the Folk Nation (both are multi-gang alliances.) The GDs and VLs are, therefore, rivals.

A reference to G-Unit first single from Beg For Mercy Stunt 101

“Cashville” is Buck’s neologism for his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. His tenure at Cash Money Records from 1995-2000 undoubtedly inspired his coinage of this nickname.

Buck even embraced this to the point where he founded a label called “Ca$hville Records” (formerly known as G-Unit South) in 2005.

Going back to the line, Buck is simply saying that he’s riding through his city like a motherfucking boss, not giving a flying fuck about the law.

The Crips and Bloods are possibly two of the most notorious gangs, especially considering the long, violent, bitter history between them. Both originating in LA, these gangs are now spread all over the country. The Bloods began as a group of smaller gangs to fight the Crips. The Crips' allies consist of gangs affiliated with Folk Nation (an alliance) and Black Guerrilla Family. The Bloods are allied with gangs affiliated with People Nation (also an alliance) and the Latin Kings.

The four gangs that Buck refers to all have some kind of connection. The GDs are allies of the Crips while the VLs are allied with the Bloods. They share rivalries.

This line is somewhat ironic now, since Buck was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2012 on weapon charges.

He served his 18 months in Yazoo City Low Security Federal Prison in Southern Mississippi, and was released on October 1, 2013.
